Terms of Service
Effective date: May 27, 2026 Last updated: May 27, 2026
Welcome to Boon. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Boon. Please read them — they explain how Boon works, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.
Boon is operated as a sole proprietorship by Minhaz Us Salakeen Fahme, based at House 8, Road 2, Block J, Baridhara, Dhaka 1212, Bangladesh ("Boon," "we," "us," or "our").
By buying a Boon, redeeming a Boon, or using useaboon.com, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Boon.
We've written these in plain language. There's some legal scaffolding we can't avoid, but we've tried to keep it honest and direct. If anything is unclear, write to us at hello@useaboon.com.
1. What Boon is
Boon is a gifting service. A buyer purchases a Boon — a gift bundle of conversations with Claude (Anthropic's AI assistant) and AI-generated images — and we deliver it to a recipient by email. The recipient redeems the gift code, signs in, and uses the credits to chat and generate images.
Boon is an independent gifting concierge. We're not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, or any of the other companies whose services we use to deliver Boon. We use their products under their developer terms to build ours.
2. Who can use Boon
Buyers
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a Boon. By purchasing, you confirm you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Recipients
Recipients of a Boon must be at least 16 years old to redeem and use it. Boon stores personal information (including chat conversations and generated images), and we extend our service to recipients on that basis.
If you're buying a Boon as a gift for someone under 16, please don't. Boon isn't designed for children, and we'll deactivate accounts of users we believe to be under our minimum ages.
Both
You agree to provide accurate information when buying or redeeming a Boon, and to keep your account information up to date.
3. The gift — what you get
For buyers
When you purchase a Boon, you're buying a gift bundle on behalf of a recipient. The bundle includes:
- A set number of messages with Claude (chat conversations).
- A set number of AI-generated images.
- A gift email sent to the recipient's address with a redemption code and your personal message.
- A receipt email sent to you with confirmation and the gift code.
The exact number of messages and images depends on the tier you select. Current tier details are shown on the buy page at the time of purchase and are also recorded in your receipt.
For recipients
When you redeem a Boon, you receive access to the credits the buyer purchased for you. You can use these credits to chat with Claude and generate images through the Boon application.
What a "message" and an "image" mean
- A message is one exchange of text with Claude — one turn of conversation. Each turn deducts one message credit from your balance.
- An image is one generated image. Each image generation deducts one image credit from your balance.
Response length and image quality are subject to the technical limits Boon has set with our AI providers. These limits exist to keep Boon sustainable.
4. Gift expiry and credit expiry
One-year expiry
A Boon — whether redeemed or not, and including any unused credits — expires one year from the date the buyer's payment is successfully processed.
After expiry:
- Unredeemed gifts cannot be redeemed.
- Unused credits in redeemed gifts can no longer be used.
- The gift record is retained for record-keeping purposes (see our Privacy Policy).
Late-redemption grace period
If a recipient redeems a Boon within the last 30 days before its expiry date, the credits remain usable for 30 days from the redemption date. This ensures a recipient who redeems late isn't immediately cut off.
Reminder emails
We send one reminder email approximately 60 days before expiry to both the buyer and the recipient when a Boon remains unredeemed. We may send additional reminders as we refine the experience.
What happens at expiry
Boon does not automatically refund unredeemed or unused gifts at expiry. Buyers concerned that a recipient may not redeem in time should consider the reissue and goodwill options below before the expiry date arrives.
5. Refunds, reissues, and changes
Reissues for unredeemed gifts
If a recipient hasn't received the gift email (wrong address, bounced delivery, recipient inaccessible), the buyer may request a reissue — sending the gift to a corrected email address or to a different recipient entirely.
- Up to two reissues are available on buyer request, free of charge.
- Additional reissues may be granted at Boon's discretion, and may be subject to an administrative fee.
- Reissues are only available for unredeemed gifts. Once a gift has been redeemed, it cannot be reissued — the credits are now associated with the recipient's account.
To request a reissue, email hello@useaboon.com with the original buyer email and the corrected recipient address.
Refunds
Refunds are not offered as a matter of right. However, we recognize that things sometimes go wrong, and we'll consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Common reasons we may grant a refund:
- A technical failure on our side prevented delivery.
- The buyer made an honest mistake and reached out promptly.
- The recipient is genuinely unreachable and reissues haven't helped.
Refunds are generally not available in the following cases:
- The gift has been redeemed and any credits used. Once a gift is partially used, refunds are not available except where required by law.
- The expiry date has passed without action.
- Requests made many months after purchase, where the practical refund window with our payment processor has closed.
To request a refund, email hello@useaboon.com with the original buyer email and details of the situation.
Mandatory consumer rights
Some jurisdictions require sellers to offer refunds or cooling-off periods regardless of our stated policy. Where applicable law requires it, we comply. If you're in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, you may have additional rights that override what's written here.
6. Transferring and reselling Boons
Buyers may freely share or transfer unredeemed gift codes for personal, non-commercial purposes — including gifting, regifting, or sending to a different friend or family member than originally intended. The gift code is yours to share.
Buyers may not:
- Resell Boons at markup.
- Aggregate Boons for commercial redistribution (e.g. selling bundled with other products as inventory).
- Sell or distribute Boons through commercial marketplaces.
- Make misleading claims about Boons (e.g. offering "bonus credits" not actually included).
Any of these activities require Boon's prior written agreement.
Boon reserves the right to invalidate gift codes associated with chargebacked payments, fraudulent payments, or payments that have been reversed for any reason.
7. How you can use Boon
Acceptable use
Boon is for personal, non-commercial use by buyers (giving gifts) and recipients (using gifted credits). You can use generated outputs — chat responses and images — in your personal life however you like.
Outputs you generate
The outputs Boon delivers (Claude's chat responses, generated images) are subject to the terms of the underlying AI providers (Anthropic for chat, OpenAI for images). Generally:
- Chat responses are yours to use, share, or quote. We don't claim ownership.
- Generated images are yours under OpenAI's content policy, which generally grants you ownership of generated images while reserving certain restrictions.
Note on commercial use of outputs: If you intend to use generated content commercially (e.g. generated images in a product you sell), please verify the current terms of the relevant AI provider. Their terms govern that use, not ours.
Prohibited uses
You may not use Boon to:
- Break the law. No illegal activity of any kind.
- Harass, threaten, or harm others. Including using Claude or image generation to produce content targeting specific individuals harmfully.
- Generate content depicting real people without their consent. This includes public figures, private individuals, and anyone identifiable.
- Generate sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes minors in any way. Zero tolerance. We will report violations.
- Generate content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights. Including reproducing copyrighted characters, logos, or branded media.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits. Exploiting bugs, race conditions, or any other technical mechanism to use more than your purchased credits.
- Share account access. Your recipient account is for you. Don't share your login credentials.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or compete with Boon. No automated bulk access; no extracting our content; no building a competing service using our service as a backend.
- Submit content that's intentionally misleading to our AI providers in ways that could trigger their content policies (jailbreaks, prompt injection, etc.).
- Violate the terms of our AI providers (Anthropic's usage policy for Claude, OpenAI's usage policy for image generation).
If you violate these rules, we may suspend or terminate your access. In serious cases (illegal content, content involving minors, etc.) we will cooperate with law enforcement.
8. Our service depends on third parties
Boon is built on top of services provided by other companies — Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (image generation), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Clerk (authentication), Supabase (data storage), Vercel (hosting), and others. We're transparent about this in our Privacy Policy.
This means Boon's service depends on the continued availability, pricing, and terms of these third-party services. Specifically:
- If a third-party provider has an outage, Boon's service may be temporarily affected. We'll do our best to recover quickly and to communicate during disruptions.
- If a third-party provider significantly changes their pricing, the underlying economics of Boon may change. For credits already purchased, we'll honor them under the rules of these Terms (subject to the language below).
- If a third-party provider deprecates a model we depend on (e.g. Anthropic deprecates Claude Sonnet 4.6), we may migrate to a comparable replacement.
- If a third-party provider becomes unavailable to us altogether, Boon may be unable to deliver part or all of the service.
In each of these cases:
Boon reserves the right to migrate credits to comparable alternative models, adjust the credit-to-message or credit-to-image ratio, or — in extreme cases where service can't be sustained — offer affected users a partial refund of unused credit value. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any material change of this kind, except where the change is forced on us by the third-party provider on shorter notice.
This isn't us reserving the right to disappear. It's us being honest that we're a small operation building on top of much larger ones, and that catastrophic upstream changes are real risks worth naming.
9. Disclaimers — what we don't promise
Service availability
Boon is provided "as is" and "as available." We aim for high reliability, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Outages, bugs, and disruptions can happen, especially in our launch period.
Output quality and accuracy
Claude's responses and AI-generated images are produced by machine learning models. They:
- May be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
- May produce unexpected or undesirable content.
- Should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
- Are not a substitute for professional services, qualified human judgment, or fact-checking when accuracy matters.
You're responsible for evaluating outputs before acting on them.
No guarantee of fitness for any specific purpose
We don't guarantee that Boon will meet any particular need or be suitable for any specific use case. If you're using Boon to help with something important, please apply your own judgment.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boon's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Boon is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant gift (or, for recipients, the amount the buyer paid for the gift you received).
We are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Lost profits, lost business opportunities, emotional distress, etc.
- Losses caused by third-party service failures. If Anthropic's API goes down for two days, we'll work to restore service, but we don't compensate beyond the affected credits.
- Outcomes resulting from reliance on AI outputs. Acting on Claude's advice or using a generated image is your decision.
- Loss of data beyond what's recoverable from our standard backups.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations of liability. Where applicable law disallows a particular limitation, that limitation doesn't apply to you — but the rest of this section still does.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Boon harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights (e.g. someone else's intellectual property).
- Content you generate or share through Boon that causes harm to others.
This is standard legal scaffolding. In practice: don't use Boon to cause harm to others, and we won't end up needing this clause.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our practices change or when the law requires it. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
For material changes — meaning changes that affect your rights or our obligations in a way you might care about — we'll notify users with active gifts by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Minor changes (typos, clarifications, formatting) are made silently.
If you don't agree to a material change, you can stop using Boon. For recipients with active credits, we'll work with you to ensure you can use remaining credits under the previous Terms during the 30-day notice period.
13. Termination and suspension
You can stop using Boon any time
There's no contract you need to cancel. Stop using your account and the relationship ends. For recipients with unused credits, please note that abandoning your account does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits.
We can suspend or terminate accounts
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- You violate these Terms.
- Your gift was associated with a chargebacked or fraudulent payment.
- Required by law or order of a competent authority.
- We reasonably believe continuing service would harm Boon, other users, or third parties.
For ordinary, non-violation reasons — e.g. discontinuing the service entirely — we'll provide at least 30 days' notice and reasonable accommodation for active gifts (e.g. refunds of remaining credit value).
For Terms violations, we may terminate immediately and without refund.
14. Dispute resolution and governing law
Informal resolution first
If you have a dispute with us, please write to hello@useaboon.com first. We'll do our best to resolve it informally. Most disputes can be sorted out by email within a few days.
If informal resolution doesn't work
If we can't resolve a dispute informally within 30 days of your initial contact, either party may pursue formal legal remedies.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Boon are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
For users in jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protection laws (e.g. EU member states, UK, parts of the US): nothing in this section limits your right to bring a claim in your local courts where local law requires.
No class actions
You agree to resolve disputes with Boon individually, not as part of a class action or representative proceeding, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15. General provisions
Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
No waiver
If we don't enforce a particular provision in one case, that doesn't mean we've waived our right to enforce it in others.
Assignment
You can't transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else (the reissue and transfer mechanisms in Section 6 are the only ways to transfer a Boon). We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to a successor entity — for example, if Boon eventually incorporates or is acquired.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Boon regarding your use of our service. They supersede any prior agreements or marketing language.

Thank you for reading. Boon is built with care by one person who wants gifting AI to feel like a gift, not a software purchase. If we've gotten something wrong, please tell us — we'd rather fix it than hide behind fine print.
